Plastic Surgeon
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plastic surgeons are medical professionals, specializing in the correction or restoration of form and function of damaged or malformed areas of the body. Plastic surgery includes many types of reconstructive surgery, hand surgery, microsurgery, and the treatment of burns. Plastic surgery, as a specialty, evolved remarkably during the 20th century in the United States, gaining increasing importance during the treatment of World War I soldiers with complex maxillofacial injuries.

Average Salary: $323,434
Educational Requirements:
Most prospective plastic surgeons complete undergraduate degrees prior to attending medical school. Although bachelor's degrees in any major are acceptable, premedical students must complete certain prerequisite courses, including chemistry, biology and physics. The first two years of medical school, referred to as the preclinical years, teach students the fundamentals of body systems, diseases and patient care. The final two years are the clinical years and place students in healthcare facilities to perform clinical rotations. Surgery is a required rotation and some schools offer clerkships in plastic surgery.

Duties and Responsibilities: Licensed acupuncture practitioners are trained to provide a broad range of healthcare services, including internal, dental and visual care, as well as addiction treatment, pain management and rehabilitation assistance. They may work in private practices, multidisciplinary clinic settings or hospitals. Other career options include teaching, research and writing.
Average Salary:$120,000
Educational Requirements: Most licensed acupuncturists hold master's degrees or post-baccalaureate certificates from schools accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (www.acaom.org). As the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) explains, most programs require 1,500-2,000 hours of acupuncture training and take 3-4 years to complete (www.ccaom.org). Graduates must pass the certification exam offered by NCCAOM and fulfill any additional state licensing requirements.
Reflection: Personally I would love to one day be able to become an Acupuncture since I love to help and cure people when they are in need of medical assistance. I am also not afraid of any bloody scenes so I believe this would be the perfect job for a young man like me.

Reflection: This very true statement once said by a wise man named Jim Rohn, really implements me to tale action for what i have gotten my self into and not tell others or someone to handlemy responsibilities for me.

Duties and Responsibilities: Otolaryngologists, like other physicians, must keep accurate records of their findings, diagnoses and treatments of patients. Doctors in private practice must also deal with making reports to insurance companies, negotiating for payment from insurance and the day-to-day operations of a small business -- hiring and managing personnel, complying with local licensing requirements and paying utilities. To maintain board certification as an otolaryngologist, the doctor must complete continuing education credits each year.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Psychologists study the behavior and actions of people to understand, explain, and change their behavior patterns.  They also provide counseling and therapy to those with emotional, learning, and behavior problems.  Psychologists work in schools, clinics, hospitals, and private practice.  They can specialize in clinical, educational, quantitative, developmental, social, experimental, and industrial-organizational psychology.  Their duties often include:
  • ·         Diagnosing and treating problems.
  • ·         Interviewing and observing patients.
  • ·         Developing, selecting, and administering tests.
  • ·         Counseling patients, groups, and families.
  • ·         Developing mental health programs.
  • ·         Conducting research and teaching.

Average Salary: $45,000 - $65,000

Educational Requirements:

Students should prepare for a career in psychology by taking the most challenging (AP or IB) high school courses available, especially in English and science. Licensed psychologists must earn a Ph.D. in psychology.  Admission to graduate programs is usually dependent on the quality of undergraduate performance in a psychology major.  Clinical psychologists must complete a two-year supervised internship after earning their doctorate and pass oral and written state qualifying exams.                                                      Duties and Responsibilities:

Pharmacists compound, or prepare, prescriptions written by physicians, dentists, and other practitioners.  They review these prescriptions to validate their accuracy and then prepare the medication.  This can involve weighing, measuring, and mixing drugs.  Once the compounds are prepared, pharmacists then dispense them to customers and patients. Pharmacists answer patients' and customers' questions about the drugs they are taking and drugs which can be sold over the counter.  In some cases, pharmacists are responsible for taking inventory of the drugs on the shelves and ordering any which they are low on. Pharmacists work in hospitals, clinics, health departments, universities, and grocery, drug, and discount stores.  Those who work in stores must be aware of the other health supplies available in the store so they do not direct customers in the wrong direction.

Average Salary: $33,000 - $51,000

Educational Requirements:

Students should take the most challenging high school classes (including AP or IB) available in English, science, and math. All pharmacists must graduate from a college of pharmacy.  Most pharmacy schools require applicants to take the Pharmacy College Admissions Test (P-CAT), and some require up to two years of pre-pharmacy education.  Other colleges will admit students directly from high school. Normally it takes at least five years to earn a Pharmacy Degree.  To earn a Doctor of Pharmacy degree,  Pharm.D., requires at least six

I would most likely end up being a pharmacist since i love helping out people. Especially when i could be the one mixing the medication they need for their sickness. Also since most of my family is in the medical feild.

Patient Representatives work for healthcare administrators to address the concerns and special needs of patients and their families.  They evaluate patient satisfaction, investigate complaints, collect information about patient dissatisfaction, work with departments to resolve patient problems, and educate staff.

Education Requirements: 

Students should take challenging high school courses in business, science, math, and English. 

Reflection: 

Me personally would love to be a Patient Representative since I love to help people find solutions to their concerns and all those special needs they are seeking for. I would also like to be a Patient Representative since I love to educate others on how, and why they are dissatisfied with their results, and would also investigate why they are having these complaints.
