Environmental Health Specialist-Sanitarian
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sanitarians, or environmental health specialists, enforce government regulations and advise and educational clients.They also improve water and sanitation facilities.
*collect and analyze samples
*screen samples for possible health hazards.
*design or manage sanitation, disposal, and water systems.
*oversee disposal of infectious waste
*develop and manage prevention and education programs.
*evaluate and identify health hazards and ensure compliance with regulations
Average Salary: $25,000-$50,000
Educational Requirements:
Students should take college preparatory courses, especially in science, and mathematics in high school. A career in Environmental Health Specialist or Sanitarian, requires at least a Bachelor’s degree in environmental health or environmental engineering. Many jobs require a certification or a Master’s degree in this or other related fields.
Reflection:
Personally I would love to one day become  an Environmental Health Specialist-Sanitarian. Since it will help me full fill my dream of becoming one of those people who regulate the government.
